Joe, Alicia, and the kidsJoe Pipher, President

Joe started as a DP over 25 years ago and quickly took the helm as a director, working all over the country learning how to shoot various commercials under many different circumstances. While based in LA he became known as a “people director”, learning how to shoot with everybody, from troublesome talent to real people to kids and even babies. He is regarded in the advertising community for his expertise in directing children, comedy, and dialogue spots. As the original director of the Dave Thomas Wendy's restaurant campaign, Joe has directed over a hundred spots for Wendy's alone.

His scripts and teleplays have appeared on network programs and cable all over the country, as well as ABC's Saturday Night Family Movie. Joe even works with monsters. He recently produced “A Magical Halloween Adventure”, a home video featuring Elmo, Telly, Zoe, Mumford the Magician and special guest star Caroline Rhea. Other projects for Sesame Workshop (formerly Children’s Television Workshop) include the PBS special “Parent Tales from Dragon Tales” for Sony Family Entertainment Group, “Music Works Wonders" / “Maravillas Musicales!”, a bilingual pilot program for the Sesame Street Music Works public service initiative [featuring Elmo, Hoots, Rosita, Telly and Big Bird], “Beginnings ... Talk, Read, Write”, an adult-directed, bilingual, multi-media project designed to provide practical strategies to enhance literacy development in children, “Sesame Street Goes to the Doctor” and most recently “Happy, Healthy, Ready for School.”

Joe PipherRecent projects in 2004 also include two videos for Hit Entertainment, “Bob the Builder” and “Barney”. The company also produced all of the branding, bumpers, promos, and interstitials for the 22 country, 11 language launch of the new original channel “Wine TV”.
